On November 12th, local time in Italy, ROMACO Group held an Open House event to officially open its new plant in Bologna, Italy. Customers from all over the world participated in this event. This is the first big event held by Romaco Group after the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
Soon after Truking acquired Romaco Group in April 2017, Truking announced construction of the new building for ROMOCO's Bologna to increase production capacity.
Known as the "Packaging Valley", Bologna is the forefront of packaging technology in the global food, pharmaceutical and other fields. Macofar and Promatic, the two famous brands of the Romaco Bologna, were established in 1972 and 1991 and have developed into representative brands in Bologna.
Macofar and Promatic have joined Romaco Group for 30 years and continued to grow in the process of Romaco's internationalization. In particular, since Romaco Group was acquired by Truking Technology in 2017, Romaco Bologna obtained greate development opportunities and opened a new chapter of development under the strategic leadership of Truking.
In June 2017, Truking announced to all employees of Romaco's Bologna that it would build a new plant. This is one of the most important initiatives of Truking to support the development of Romaco after the acquisition, and has been highly anticipated by employees. Under the leadership and supervision of Chairman Tang Yue, ROMACO Bologna officially started the construction in December 2019. In 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic broke out and seriously affect the construction progress. However, Romaco Bologna management team overcame the difficulties, completed the construction in the first half of 2021 and arranged orderly migration into the new building in August.
The total investment in the new plant amounts to 17 million euros. It has picturesque valley scenery, grand outdoor green area, parking lot and other facilities. The indoor construction area far exceeds the original plant, which greatly increases overall production capacity and brings more convenience and value to customers. The design of the new plant incorporates a lot of advanced concepts, such as humanism and sustainability.

What the building provides is not just a new premise, but a new arena for Romaco employees to give full play to their talents, and it is an important achievement of China-German enterprise integration. During construction, Romaco employees sent many videoes to Chinese colleagues. "The Covid-19 pandemic has not stopped us from moving forward. With the strong support of Truking and the efforts of all Romaco employees, we successfully completed the construction, achieved our business targets and became a strong ally in the fight against the pandemic!
